This class will be taught through a 5-6 class sessions to teach the basic of Ikenobo Rikka arrangement. The class will be offerred approximately once every two months. But, a student is expected to attend all 5-6 classes to be considered to have mastered the Basic Techniques of Rikka class.

Kazuko attended a class at Ikenobo Kyoto HQ
Kazuko went to Japan to attend the class at Ikenobo HQ in Kyoto in July, 2012.
Her class was the Sogo Tokubetsu Ka, Shouka Senkou, taught by Professor Furukawa.
She made the following flower arrangements, with the praises from the professor.

Ikebana International Denver Chapter held the demonstrations of flower arrangements from different schools on May 19, 2012 at Denver Botanical Garden.
Kazuko demonstrated a traditional Ikenobo Shoka using Siberian Iris.

Ikebana International Denver Chapter (#66) received the “Thank You” certificate from the Consulate General of Japan at Denver, on May 11, 2012, at his official residence, for their service and continuing effor for the friendship between the United States of America and Japan through cultural activities.

Per request from students, Kazuko made the following sample of Bridesmaid Bouguet for Wedding Flowers 101 class.
It is on display at Millennium Harvest House Boulder’s lobby area until May 16, 2012.
The length of the bottom stem is left a little longer than it would have been used in a real wedding situation, due to the fact that it is kept in a vertical vase with water to be shown at the hotel lobby for several days.
