Ikebana International Denver Chapter (#66) received the “Thank You” certificate from the Consulate General of Japan at Denver, on May 11, 2012, at his official residence, for their service and continuing effor for the friendship between the United States of America and Japan through cultural activities.

Today, we’re carrying the “Rikka Futakabu Sunamono” arrangement from Kazuko’s home to the Mitchell Hall at Denver Botanic Gardens.

Bill will carry the most of the arrangement in his car.

Yesterday (April 1, 2012), 3 of our students and I gathered at my home to prepare for the 50th Anniversary Flower Show of Denver Chapter of Ikebana International on 4/6-7/2012 at Denver Botanic Gardens.

We are creating “Rikka Futakabu Sunamono” arrangement.

1327Ikebana International Denver Chapter (#66) members setup flower arrangements at Colorado Garden and Home Show in Denver Convention Center February 18-19, 2012.

My student, Bill Stufflebeem, and I made a Rikka Sunamono arrangement there.

Kazuko Kozai was asked by the Consulate General of Japan at Denver for providing a typical Japanese flower arrangement, with the themes of (1) Recovery from the earthquake damage and (2) Remembering the Tsunami Victims, for the annual year-end party held at the Ball Room of Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. Through the agreement by Ikebana International Denver Chapter (#66), which she blongs to, she has provided the following “Rikka Sunamono” arrangement.

Kazuko was asked by the Japanese Association of Colorado to place a flower arrangement in their tent, and by Consulate General of Japan at Denver to present Furoshiki demonstration at the center stage, at Sloan Lake during the Dragon Boat Festival on July 30-31, 2011.
